Amethyst is a natural born singer who hails from Chicago, IL and is poised to make a significant impact on the culture. She desires to inspire others to be confident, and aims to encourage people to hold a regal view of themselves. Her anticipated album will feature ear-grabbing tracks that are packed with powerful messages and lush sounds. It will feature Deitrick Haddon, Mali Music, and The Williams Singers and include songs produced by Asaph Ward and Marcus Hodge. The musical versatility on this project will resonate with people that possess a myriad of musical tastes. Amethyst has cast her net widely and is set to appeal to a range of listeners.

In 2019, Amethyst released "Do It" to Gospel radio. The debut single was received well and introduced Amethyst to the Gospel music community in an impactful way. In 2021, Amethyst released, “Redeemed”, which features Grammy Award winning artist, Mali Music. In July, 2022, the Inaugural Stellar Award for Rap/ Hip Hop Song Of The Year was presented to Amethyst for her song “Redeemed”. In November, 2022, Amethyst released her third chart- topping single, “Still Gon’ Do It”, a hand clapping, foot stomping rendition that taps into her musical roots and delivers the sounds of Sunday Morning. The accompanying music video for “Still Gon’ Do It” was released in January, 2023 exclusively on YouTube. In August 2023, Amethyst was nominated for the Best Gospel Vocalist Entertainer for the Chicago Music Awards. In January 2024, Amethyst won Female Vocalist Of The Year for The Avidity Awards.

Amethyst has spent her entire life immersed in musical settings. A seasoned musical force, singing has innately been an integral part of Amethyst’s life. It is one of her greatest passions. As a daughter of the COGIC church, Amethyst has been exposed to top notch music ministry. Amethyst began singing at the tender age of 3 with her Sister, Angelyn. She has traveled the country singing and was a supporting vocalists on Season 6 of FOX’s hit series, “Empire”.

Amethyst continues to perfect her gift and for the past 16 years, she has served as the Director of Music Ministry & Arts and Praise & Worship Leader for Holy Temple Cathedral COGIC in Harvey, IL.

Amethyst’s sound is both refreshing and authentic. Her personal conviction is that she has been endowed with the gift of song to reconcile others to Christ. Her deepest desire is to meet the masses right where they are and minister to all aspects of their lives. She is confident that singing is her calling and the channel to fulfill her destiny.
